About Me

Hi, I’m Helen...

Sometimes, children and young people need a little extra support to guide them through difficult times in their lives. They may be encountering challenges and would benefit from talking in a safe and comfortable environment to explore feelings and worries. I offer a non judgemental counselling service in a warm & friendly atmosphere suited to young people. I have been counselling children & young people for 10 years. Children can relate to me and I strive to do my best for them. I’m able to adapt my counselling style to suit clients' individual needs (eg I use play & art when working with young children to support them effectively). I look forward to hearing from you! The therapy I specialise in includes creative therapy, integrative, and psychodynamic. This is executed with both individuals and as part of a family, depending on the client’s needs. 

 

I’m fully qualified, with a Diploma of Higher Education in Child & Adolescent Counselling (Anglia Ruskin University, 2012). 

 

I’m BACP registered since 2012, and undertake constant training – the latest of which is NCFE: Understanding children and young people's mental health (2020).
